Aquaponics Internship Programme
Learning through practical experience

Aquaponics Internship Programme
In May 2025, Aquaponics Costa del Sol and Aquaponics United welcomed two students from Lorentz Lyceum in Arnhem for a five-day internship. Working alongside our team, they explored how aquaponic systems operate and how fish, plants and water form a connected living system.
The programme combined theory with practical observation, water-quality checks and plant care. The students also created a social media project, using photography and communication to share what they had learned. It was an opportunity to connect science, sustainability and creativity through direct experience with working systems.
The students’ video projects
Four short videos created during the internship to share their experience and explain aquaponics.
